dreams of sultry tiger striped lips. my rust licked fingers cut on the nails left tickling my lashes. it was all rugburns and camera flashes. baptizing your pale in my breath - i raised your blood and painted sunrise on your breast - only to give a hidden bouquet of stolen flowers. i still try to remember your legs fresh out of the shower. in a day where my shoes tread on stranger’s cigarettes, and my corduroy finger tips stain the walls i drag them upon... your sea turtle eyes will swim out of the mess, and i’ll drink in my smiles and be content pretending that there was a hello in the blowing of your dress. i’ll never again watch the moon melt into your valley of skin - and one day I’ll purse my lips to say “this needed to happen”.
the warmth of wood. the thickening of air. who will find my teeth in the ground. who will brush the dirt off of my skull - when they pull me up from this hole.
